So, I'm realizing my addiction to cables right now. These items are in my Ravelry queue (all Ravelry links on the photos).
Aidez by Cirilia Rose
Owls by Kate Davies
Cabled Hot Water Bottle Cozy by Alexis Layton
(I don't even own a hot water bottle)
Lauren by Ann Weaver
And I'm working on these and this right now. I'm cable crazy! I've always liked the look of cables, but they do slow your knitting down quite a bit. Even lace is faster to me than cabling, but how beautiful are these twists and turns? VERY, I say. They are classic and polished and keep your knitting from stretching and growing. They might just be the perfect knitting design element, in my opinion. Besides ribbing, which I also adore. Wow, a non-knitter would really not identify with what I'm talking about right now. :)

I'm with you on the cables! They are so squishy and comfy looking. Enjoy the knit-fun!
Ooh! I can't knit more than a scarf (and it's been years since I tackled that), but that chartreuse sweater is gorgeous!
